Year 2015 witnessed 27 plus companies recruiting through GATE 2015, whereas the number grew to more than 40 in 2016.
Qualifying in GATE has become a basic requirement for engineers to land in a government job in sought-after PSUs. Besides GATE qualification, group discussion and personal interview are also conducted in some PSUs for recruitment.
Public Sector Undertakings can be classified into following three types of companies based on the parameters such as listing on Indian stock exchange, global presence, annual revenue and operations.
